the dna tests are extremely inaccurate, as they only have a very limited number of breeds to choose from for the results.

I agree with Molly on DNA testing

Do not waste money going thru AKC 's dna

when they cannot even get it right on a pure bred German Shepherd, I wouldnt trust them to run anything for me.''

period

now if there are other agencies or medical laboratories that have proven themselves, but for a MIXED breed the chances are not good to not be still wondering..

puppy is adorable

I had a blue Heeler given to me 9 yrs ago when I rescued it and its siblings in the middle of my street in front of my property..within minutes of 6 , 7 week old puppies in a row walking down the middle of the street, unaware of the huge tankers that were coming, being smashed to a grease spot, and he was the life of the party..

I had to give him away at the age of 2yrs old. I could not train a high drive , MR PERSONALITY blue Heeler, and keep calm 9  high drive trained germans  from either killing him or  destroying my place to find him...

HE was a loving dog but he was a herder and a high drive equipment dog..HE moved rocks, brooms, chairs,  lawmowers, pipes, or anything movable piece of iron, steel , plastic or discription on any given day for his own amusement.

I named him MIXON for the road I rescued him from.   I found his owners and they live deep in the woods, THE pups followed their mom dog to the woods and she came home , but without them....Owners called me next day,,,,,JAN ,,Have you seen 6 baby blue heelers today....

HMMMMMMM  duh....yes...OH they are yours....I will be right there to whip your butts for letting these pups get out of your care.....Mixon is still living with the man who took him and he is his sidekick and he has tasks to do every day..HE taught him all kinds of chores to do...

Hopefully your pup is a mix of two great herders and useful dogs..

Thanks for so many responses!  I appreciate everyones input.  I looked into the DNA testing and came to the conclusion (like most of you) that it is terribly inaccurate and not worth the $.
Scooter and I appreciate the help.

He's definitely got Catahoula in him.

Thank you!  I'm usually so computer savvy, not sure why I can't figure out how to post a simple pic without forcing people to go through the trouble of clicking on a link.  Sorry guys!
