Gotta tell you, looked at a lot of crosses in 20 years in a large shelter!  She looks primarily Germ Shep and "pit bull" type to me. The ears and hair from shep, probably color from pit bull type. But boy, you can never really tell. Heck, could be greyhound way back!  The DNA tests are hardly reliable. I have had several done and the best ever was my 20 pound patterdale terrier coming back as primarily Great Pyr!!!!

I'm not a fan of pit bull crosses, as you can add "defensiveness" to the pit bull part, which isn't good... but if you are lucky you will get a fun, happy dog. If she is a NUT about water that will be from the pitty! Just watch her around other dogs when she is maturing (12 to 16 months, roughly) as both GSD and pit bulls can become dog aggressive as they mature.

Best of luck.

I see more boxer than pit. Cute as hell.

I had a client coin a cute ohrase I use all the time now on mutts. When someone asks what kind of dog she is, you say, "She's a Canardly." When they ask, "What's a Canardly?", you say, "You can 'ardly tell what she is!"

Thank you all for your replies! I have been looking more into the Pit/GSD mix and found a few that look just like her! She is perfect in every way and everyone who meets her just adores her and her temperament. She passed puppy classes with flying colors and gets along great with other dogs. She is even a little submissive to some dogs. She loves cats and cuddles and plays with them. I am not to worried about her having any aggression of any type. I had a Cane Corso Mastiff before her that was showing extreame aggression at 14 weeks. So we have been keeping a close eye on her. So far she has given us no reason to worry.

Thanks again for all your comments. I was thinking Either the pit or plott hound to. Its hard to compare. Not that it really matters because she is the perfect dog but I find it interesting to research the background of the breeds.  Any other ideas I would love to hear them!

Definitely amstaff(pit)/gsd or dutch shepherd. She has the chest, legs and profile of the dutch shepherd or gsd. Not to mention the way she pants and smiles with her tongue is gsd like. Her withers are more like the pit though.

See this pic of a brindle pitt pup:

Also a painting of a this combo:

Also you can see the face: cheekbones and eyeset of pitbull:

Then Dutch Shepherd:

You know if one didn't know the breed well they might just say purebred dutch shepherd lol. although she could be just the right mix of pit/gsd that it looks like a pure bred dutch! lol
