Great comment on fake obedience

As I understand it, this incident occurred at a *major level* event, not a local club trial where one might expect to find novice handlers and 'unseasoned' dogs. At that level, yes, I do think it's fair to expect better control from the handlers and better behavior from the dogs. Think, if you will, of what a poor impression of Schutzhund, and the breed in general, would be left behind if this had happened in the lobby of the exhibitor's hotel, as one handler and dog team were waiting for the elevator and the other team went to exit said elevator when it stopped and the doors opened...
