Rik, I don't know, my sister-in-law passed on this woman's breeding philosophy to me after getting their new pup, citing this as proof she "researched" the breeder.  (Eye roll) hahaha

She wanted me to come out to meet this breeder and I politely declined because I knew darn well I would NOT be able to keep my big mouth shut

Is she or isn't she?

3shep2...if I were to guess by "only the pic"....I would *guess* so.
But only the owner & breeder could say for sure......

Actually, she is almost pure wolf-she was pulled from a shelter by a GS Rescue where her owner dumped her-I had her for three days before returning her-only liked to potty in the house-only on the carpet at that-after scaling a 6' barrier and back . . . tore the end out of a crate the first day . . . . intimidated my three shepherds with her large size (only 8 mos old) and extremely rough play-fortunately, since then she has resided at a local animal sanctuary where she and several other hybrids share a very large enclosed area.

Quote:  "Of course because of thier high intelligence they need to feel part of the family pack" end quote.

This may come as a surprise but the pure GSD is highly intelligent and needs to feel part of the family pack.  Why intrude on the wolf?

I could not agree more Vixen and was thinking the same thing.

Wolves and wolf hybrids are nothign like dogs, training them is nothing like a training a dog. They take a high level of experience to own and work with. If an owner has such, great, good for them, but to tote them off as fabulous pets to the general public is highly irresponsible.

3shep2.....Her picture *speaks Wolf*...(does that make sense?)
I'm glad that I would have guessed correctly.....she is beautiful for sure.

I have a wolf/chihuahua mix that is badass! He jumps on the back of the couch and pisses on your head to mark his territory. I made the mistake of feeding him raw meat after 12 and he turned into a maniac. He chewed through my drywall in six places to make dens. I put him on a huge chain when the neighbor kids come around cause I'm scared he might eat a few. He got loose a week ago and came back vomitting up bones and a 3 carat diamond ring. I try to keep him contained but he can chew through solid sheet metal and bullet proof glass. I tried Schutzhund, but he jumped inside the sleeve and ate the helpers arm. Do you know how useless a trial helper is without a left arm?

I'm thinking you should cut back some on the chihuahua next breeding. those little bastiges can really muck up a good hybred breeding.
