I wouldn't want the toilet but I'd buy the seat off it and paint it for our horseshoe tournaments. It's always nice to have a few games going at once. LOL

Seriously, it's hard to find just toilet seats at sales.  (lol)

Love this thread, lol! No under clothes for sure, the toilet thing doesn't bother me, pressure wash it and buy a new seat, they come in different shapes and sizes, but you can buy an inexpensive toilet for less than $100 new. I wouldn't buy a used toothbrush or hair brush, gross..

Last month, I posted an old queen sized mattress set on Kijiji (online classifieds) for $25. I was completely stunned to receive over 40 replies to my ad in two days. Apparently, used mattresses are hot commodities in my community.

I Love garbage picking....and garage sales.....:)

My grandparents were antique dealers ...I was taught that GREAT TREASURES could be found in other folk's trash cans...: )

Matter of fact, I was inspired to start my own collection.....I have a very nice collection of Holiday Postcards and Valentines.....Many of my nicest and most valuable pieces came right out of a TRASH CAN...

   However
, I don't do other peoples underwear or mattresses....: )

Deanna...lol! Bob, clearly you're a great problem solver. I'm a collector of old stuff as well, my Mom and I sold vintage and antique items we refurbished in Alabama... much of it found on the side of the road and at garage sales :)

Laura, I put a mattress set on the road side for garbage pick before moving and two people were seriously arguing over who pulled up first, lol. People are a trip! I threw away a 9'-11' wool rug that my dog bled all over (it looked like it came from a crime scene) and it was taken in less than 5 minutes. Gross

@Jennifer - The rug was free so that beats gross (a good stain remover will get all the blood right out....).

Meanwhile, I can't  unload a new Boomer ball (http://www.boomerball.com/) on kijiji. Old mattress, no problem. Ha!

With the rapid spread of bed bugs in this country, I am surpised anyone would want a used mattress. That's not including the jizz factor. BARF

Maybe it's because they cost an arm and a leg new.
