In regards to pricing, $0.99/lbs (USD?) for chicken quarters is entirely too expensive.  If you contacted a processor, and he's giving you these prices, he's ripping you off.  We pay $0.24/lbs for chicken quarters from a local processor.  He raises the animals himself on his farm (no hormones - free-range,) slaughters, packages, and sells from his farm/butcher shop (yes, he is licensed and such with the state, etc.)

Deanna,
I pay around .60 cents per lb for chicken quarters.  You beef mixture seems to be a little high in fat which is why it is cheap.  I do buy liver and heart and mix it in with my dogs food, but is a small percentage.  I add chop meat, chicken leg quarters, whole fat yogurt and cottage cheese.  I vary the organ meat and add it a few times per week.  I add raw green tripe and whole raw eggs with the shell 2 - 3 times a week.  I vary my meat sources with beef, chicken and venison.

There are some excellent sources of prepared raw diets such as Oma's Pride and K-9 Kraving.  These are complete and make feeding raw very easy.  If you have any questions PM me and I will help you out.

Flashbang,
.24 cents a lb is a great price.  Where are you located?
