   I like the option of having at least 24 hrs to change a post. Sometimes it takes re- reading my post a few times to catch spelling and grammar errors...JMO....: )

How about 12 hours?  I usually catch any typos I miss within the first time or two I read it, after it's posted.

I think 8 or 12 hours would be fine.  I usually catch typos right away, but some don't and need more time.  Although, if it's too late and the typos bother you, you could always make another post and correct it there.  Doesn't really matter to me, most people understand a typo or two, just so you can't go back months later and wipe it all away.
