NO ONE defended her actions, it is just that some of us didn't think it right to persecute her for something she did 11 years ago.  No one had proof she was still doing it, and yes, some of us thought it was possible that  she could change.  So we were wrong.  Shoot us.

Yes, people DID defend her!  And ,certainly some actually  attacked those who called her out on her crap.  As Slamdunc pointed out, some of us have had a lot more experience with miscreants, including those with mental problems, and can spot them a mile away from their writing.   She was obvious.    

Animal abuse, like child abuse and elder abuse, are character issues.    Character very rarely changes.  Those "caught" once have usually gotten away with it undetected before and will almost always do it again.

So....where is Sock Puppet, now that he has been so soundly vindicated?

I haven't read the old threads but what I remember saying is get off your ass is you are so worried she is still abusing dogs and do something about it, don't sit on your ass in front of the computer and bitch to and about her.

It looks like someone finally did something about it.  Kudo's to them!

I'm not going to sit on here and go through all of this again.  I just got POX, okay? Whatever the heck that is, it just hit me over the  head.

What a couple of tragic cases! Don't know of these people, and don't care. It's more the story that struck me. In all honesty, they could be the poster children for any garden variety episode of Hoarders or Houston Animal Cops. Neglect, abuse, starvation...big problem here is, I'm not convinced they knew what they were doing was wrong. I'm in no way defending them. In fact, they should be seriously taken to task for leaving an elderly woman lay in her own excrement, and allow 13 beautiful dogs to languish...not to mention the prior arrests for animal cruelty. Not cool! From my coordinates, I see/hear of the same stories. Dogs, cats, livestock left to fend for themselves. Sadly our laws protect more the perp., than they do the victims. "Mental illness" is a rather easy plea, and bleeding heart judges will eat that crap up. Meanwhile, the collateral damage caused by people like this, is exponential.

{there are many times I wish we did endorse stringing people like this, up by the toenails, and administering electric shock therapy...but crazy is, as crazy was, and as crazy will forever be}
