Initial puppy vaccines should always be 5 not 7, young puppies have an increased rate of reactions with the Spectra 7 administered first

All Fort Dodge Valley Vet Supply
Duramune max Pv -  4 weeks
Duramune Cv-K Max 5 -  8,12,and 16 weeks.
3 year rabies after 16 weeks, but not asap.  Just when I can get it after 16 weeks unless we are getting ready for a show.

I try to be utd on vaccinations as I take my puppies EVERYWHERE with me.  At 5 weeks they are on the road socializing at stores or clubs so I want to make sure that they have a defense against illness.  Otherwise, I probably would be on the VERY slow bus for vaccinations.

Windy and others, you're really kidding yourselves if you think you're doing anything but potential harm vaccinating pups that young. If you think your chemical adjuvants are stronger than the dam's antibodies at that age, you're on the VERY slow bus for vaccine research and efficacy, to use your own descriptive. Current, well-researched protocols for those who simply must vaccinate for whatever reason, support starting at closer to ten weeks, as anything younger is essentially pointless much of the time.

There are about a zillion.2 sites where you can see the facts on immunity at certain ages. Google is your friend.

I really am getting tired of posting the same things over and over and over again for years. I did the homework because I care. I spent lots of time researching and trying to decipher facts from agenda-laden protocols. I think everyone who breeds especially, but really everyone who owns a dog, owes it to their dogs to do their own research on these things. Not trying to sound extra bitchy, but c'mon...don't take what someone else says as "good enough". Not fair to your dog to do anything less than get all the facts you can and make your own informed decision.

Jenn.  Thank you for your opinion.  I have heard it by others, but oddly enough I have never heard these types of statements from anyone in the medical field that has actual degrees.  Unfortunately, I have to follow the experience of a 30 year animal medical professional with lots of framed documents with his name on them, even license number :-).  I know that everyone has a valid opinion and yours is valid for you.  I operate by different rules.  Thank you for your opinion and don't feel as though I am PRESSURING you to vaccinate your puppies at all.  I respect that you have the right NOT to vaccinate as I have the right to vaccinate.

Haha! That same jackass with the framed degrees will tell you to feed Science Diet too! Why wouldn't a man that makes money from vaccinations push vaccinations?

I mentioned spring because that is a time when many viruses that have been dormant emerge and become active once again.....

And that is what the "some never give it rest   " was in reference to.......

Well, Nona, I took it as a response to my post since the one you were posting to was three posts earlier and you didn't quote or address the poster.

No Prob Don,
That was probably because I was writing my response at the same time you were and you submitted your post before I did mine...

Just wanted to clarify that I was not stalking you...
