I'm only responding with an honest "debatable" comment. When I read these threads some are right there "on the fence" per se and could go either way............... serious or jokingly.
I wonder at times why certain topics don't get responses? Is it because the way the thread was listed? The topic itself? The author? They don't want to be bothered? A topic that's not "worthy" of them replying? I don't have the answers. And I'm being honest, inquisitive and sincere with my response. I'm not the bad guy.
In what little we saw on the dog, why do you consider this dog to be awesome? The dog bit the sleeve, (I didn't really count), three or four times. I'm not saying the dog is good or bad. I didn't see enough. To me the dog showed more energy "jumping" or "building the drive" than the actual bites. He is only training at the moment of the video.
And you state Schutzhund people need to get on board?............ Do you think that type of training is only for Schutzhund? "Quality, commitment to train of this caliber?" All that was displayed in this ??? minute video? And destined for police work??? Is this what you see police K9s as doing? There are multiple jobs for a police K9s and it entails just a little more than biting a sleeve.
I wish I knew the you tube thread, but it's in my favorites with @ 1,000 other ones. I want to say it's a Dutch competition and if others read this thread I am sure someone is familiar with it. These dogs are running a long distance, (competition is on a soccer field), and this one Mal, can't remember if it's a dutch, for some reason I want to say yes. This Mal leaps a good 15 yds, looks more like 20, and just as he's about a foot off the ground, (coming down), he hits the decoys' arm and the sheer force and momentum take the decoy down as if a train just hit him from the rear. NOW THAT IS AN AWESOME DOG! One, I don't know if you are serious or joking? If you're joking hey, I just wasted my breath..................... but if you are serious please explain your thoughts.

was using scarcasism.
Not my dog but a dog a kennel uses for their one of their stud dogs, a czech BL dog. This dog was described as being a great dog. Compared to their description I toned it down a bit. This may be described as kennel blindness. Probably a good pet, but not as a stud.

Just trying to comprehend why you would go to that length? It was kind of obvious to whoever watched. Something like this reiterates my points to Alphapup, Jeff Oelhsen and others I had mentioned to on other threads.................................. I'm probably missing something here though? Just not getting it.

Okay, I just wasted I don't know how many minutes watching these videos. I woudn't have minded so much if they were actually great dogs, or if they were presented as training videos, but as other have said, one has to go "huh?" when the poster's comments and the video in reference are so far apart.
My opinion on the first video: young dog with lots of exuberance in the early stages of training, no pressure, building drive and confidence, very poor bites.
Second video: Police dog on the right of the screen showing signs of stress and avoidance. Crappy CRAPPY bite! Seems confused about biting someone he knows (not faulting the dog for that) - seems just too happy to release - looking away from the decoy shows lack of confidence and stress (though could be the conflict of being sent on a bite on a friend as opposed to a foe). I have no audio on my computer, is this a certified dog or one in training? Not impressed at all either way.
