Thanks for the advice, Getting to the ER IMO is the priority, but there are situations that make it impossible to get there......Rennie Deflatin's active ingredient is Simeticone which is the same ingredient in Gas X.......

This morning Echo is acting like her normal self, hungry, wanting to play, normal bowel and bladder movements.  I'm feeding her less, but more often thru the weekend trying to spread it out and limiting her water which she doesn't seem to care about so far.  Right now, all she wants to do is play and can't understand why I won't let her run willy-nilly around the yard.  I feel like an old mother hen.  I stayed home from work today because I am exhausted from the night watch and I want to keep a close eye on her.  My husband insists she came and licked the back of his head last night which is how she wakes him up in the morning and he ignored her.   GRRRRR!   Since she doesn't do that until after I've been up an hour or so and she didn't come to my side to wake me up like she does when she needs to go out, it's possible he dreamt it.  I swear, nothing wakes him up and if she did do this, after all we went thru last night, I can't believe he didn't wake me up to check on her.
So far, so good this morning.
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions and for caring.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.  So far so good!  I've been napping off and on all day, LOL.  The stress really got to me.  She's my baby and I know they are all special but she's different and it makes her more precious to me.  I've never known a dog so happy to meet strangers.  I'm having serious thoughts of giving up the rigors of SchH and making her a therapy  dog.

Glad to hear Echo is back to his normal self whilst you and hubby recuperate from loss sleep and worries.  Definately scrary stuff for every dog owner.  I think Echo will make a terrific therapy dog :)

DebiSue:

Echo exhibited very similar signs that Falon did when she bloated.  She has done so twice and the first thing I notice is the constant licking of the carpet.  The second time it happened I had her at the vet in 15 minutes.

Glad Echo is doing well.  Just be aware that once this has happened it is likely it will happen again.  Falon bloated again a little over 1 year later.  Again it was caught before her stomach flipped.

Take care,

Cheryl
