If I would select a breeder in Germany for a working dog I would check out "von Karthago", "vom Steintal". I really prefer to look at small kennels more so than famous names. Go there, talk to SV people and look around.

funny , best in what , work , show , health , all together , and how do you mean , the best on the web ? , the nicest website???

the answer will be different for everybody , some like tiekerhook , some dont , some like van noort , some dont
some kennels have a huge name , built on one great dog out of 25 years of breeding , some  dont have a big name , but produce quality year after year

The people at Holtkamper Hof really impressed me with their professionalism.

Duke, i think consistant quality would be the first requirement, then reputation as to what they deliver because once i started a thread here and most people on the data base suggested to cautious.
Also i think people producing quality dogs consistantly must be doing well in shows aswell.

Duke nailed it.  What r you looking for.  Quality is sooo suggestive.  Show line, working line, do you want golden middle.  Are you looking for over the top drives?  You are not going to find quantitative data on this, just someones opinion.
