My gal is half and half: www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/523413.html

Faded pigment aside, I like her structure, but Rik says she's a POS...

SitasMom, how many do you want to see. I can keep this thread going with my dogs. The one I posted was an absolute spook.

At his maturity in St. Louis, he would not stand for exam. His handler. literally choked him down outside the ring so he was more afraid to move than to allow the approach of judge.

He also had a missing tooth. But he was a very top winning AKC dog.

Honestly, what do you people wish to know. How you think it is in the show ring, or what it really takes to stand at the front of the line in AKC.

I'm going to tell you how it is, you can like it or choke on it. I don't care. I'm also going to tell you (in time) why I see the German s/l going in the same direction. Just better h/e and color.

and it's all JMO,

Rik, Yes I did learn a valuable lesson.... Did I enjoy it? Yes, for that time....Am I proud of it now, NO!!!! I still think they are beautiful, but not enough to reproduce them again......It really got bad and out of hand the direction the "fad" was headed......

Al things happen for a reason, and I now thank God for my misfortunes that caused me to have to take a break from the show ring and American bred GSDs....

Jimmy's getting up there! A lady I know who's been in the dog game a long time, was watching the GSDs at Westminister last year, and taking notes. She wrote down: old grey haired guy, grey suit, THEN shortly after, was shocked to realize it was Jimmy!

Nice pigment on your girl, but oh, that head is SO tiny!

What was special about her?

Hi Sitas Mom!  The girls in my avatar are American show.  They are Pixie and Rose.  Pixie is the darker (1st pic) and Rose is the lighter.  They are out of Dallas and Scoop progeny.  Both have slight angulation and Good hips and elbows!  Pixie's a couch potato but Rose has just as much drive as most working lines!
