If you guys are that worried about feeding, why evn feed out of a bowl? All food out of your hand and teach the dog to follow, etc.

According to my great Friend dog trainer, in Carthage , Texas who also trains with DFW in Dallas, he advised me to always
1. Introduce the dog to the home by keeping on leash, for one week
2. All food the first two days are to be fed as it was at former home.,,,in a bowl and the same food..
then on third day...sit in floor in den...no kids present yet....kids do not feed a new pup or dog in family until you have established the temperament and introduced the kids to the dog in a one week sit in floor and feed out of your hands....''
Continue to feed the dog in the floor for approx 2 weeks...this gets the dog in your area and in a sitting position...and the dog bonds with you and then the kids sitting is a circle and calmy feeding the dog food...praise and letting dog or puppy see all of you in a family circle...do not scream , or do any kind of hitting or roughness..
This is a bonding time for dog and you and then kids....YOU are ALPHA>>.after one week of YOU being ALPHA in floor ...invite kids in..and you are still ALPHA>>>>YOU control the circle and the pup and the KIDs.......make this only a 10- 15 min . session just like in obedience training.....10 mins is long enough to keep the attention...
