Don't know but Jones trailers are great...pretty much have everything ready.

The fan has to operate at 12 volts.  If the voltage drops lower than 12 volts and runs at less, it will burn out  the motor.  The voltage regulator  is to save the motor.

When the car is running, your car alternator will charge the battery.  The best way is with a battery charger overnight.  Do not rewire the trailer.

I would call your WT rep and I bet they cover that.

So I did bypass the guard when the trailer is unhooked from the vehicle and everything powers up fine, just like when it is hooked up to the vehicle.  So I am thinking that the battery guard is not working properly.  You can adjust the voltage on in from 10.4 to 13....it is currently set on 10.4 (the little screw appears to be a little wallered out....hmmm).  I am curious what the factory setting is...since it is clear that someone changed it.  I did have the shop wire up a hot from the car back.  The solar puts out 7A (I guess that is a lot?).  They also told me that the turn signals are seperate from the break lights...I guess US trailers us the break lights that then blink independently when a signal is used.  So if I wanted to pay more they could have tinkered with the vehicle wiring to get the orange signals to work.  With that said it appears that I am now in the market for a new kemo battery guard.  Regardless I am still tickled pink with the trailer and was super estatic when I saw everything power up.

I would leave the orange light alone.  You can't have orange break lights.  If you change the orange light to red, then you can hook both together.

This winter, I am removing the light boxes(triangle, orange and red) and installing 2 round LED break/blinker combos.  I have also installed LED side markers.

Mark, I do not have the skillset to take that assembly out.  I will just leave it.  The way I understood it was that the issue is my vehicle wiring....it could be wired so those orange signals work (they are only turn signals) but they are wired seperate in that blade plug from the trailer side.  I am not willing to pay them anymore to fiddle with it...lol.  It already ran me about half the shipping costs just for the install and wiring up of the blade plug on my vehicle and some tinkering.  I guess they saw me coming.  I assume you also have a WT?  When you get your project finished I would be curious in seeing it....

Bob if you do .be instead of .de at the end of that WT address Mark provided they have more photos of trailers.  If you are considering a trailer....I obviously would recommend WT.  It hauls VERY nice and is not too heavy.  I am not sure how it will do in snow....but I am gonna find out.

Heidi,

Not sure if you're in the states. Go to your nearest High School/Community College and see if there is like a co-op/trade school and have the students work on it at a reduced cost. That might work?
