Krazy Bout K9s

by Krazy Bout K9s on 19 November 2010 - 18:11

 Hi All,
And thanks so much, I am finally home after a long and grueling 1300+ (one way) mile trip near the southern part of Yosemite Park area, where one of my rescue dogs went missing. The idiot scared the dog, she slipped her collar and then wouldn't contact us for 2 weeks...I had no idea she was gone and he wouldn't return emails or phone calls.

So I went down there to try to find her. After living in the wild for 4 weeks, a friend and I found her, starved and limping on one leg, damage to the toes, stepped on or run over...I am so pissed I can hardly speak, but at least we found her,. The gal that helped me put up flyers and drive door to door, down ranch lanes and all, fell in love with the dog and has decided to adopt her. The vet she took her too in California, wanted the dog too. Said she was the sweetest dog....I just don't understand some people. He never put up flyers nor did his neighbors know the dog was even missing...like he said he did.

Everyone told me I was crazy for going down there, that I would be looking for a needle in a haystack, BUT. I couldn't let her die without trying.....

She is safe and sound, but I did have to borrow money for the gas trip down/back and have another dog in now that I picked up on the way back, that needs hip dysplasia surgery. An 8 month old Malinois boy, that was supposed to be a new police K-9 prospect...what a shame, he is like a big Marmaduke...lover boy...photos later.

So thanks all for any donations or bidding on the original oil painting...
Sincerely, Steph
Montana GSD and Belgian Malinois Rescue

Steph

There are so many dogs being turned into rescue right now.
I was so saddened to see 6 GSD's in the Fresno SPCA, when I went to check on a possible match for my girl...I wish I would have had room to take them all home. One was a pronouncedly pregnant girl...so sad in such a very high kill shelter....I cryed...
