Cmass..
This is not something anyone would say if it were not true.
The fact that he is verifying it now, is all the proof you
need......Don't be a butthead.

Phil, seriously, do you REALLY believe someone "cut" his tires on a rental car and he NEVER reported it???? If so, I have this awesome bridge..... I can give you a great deal on it!!

by MAINLYMAX on 11 November 2010 - 23:11
Seriously Cmass,....do you think he would say something like
this knowing he would be hearing from people like you.
Who needs the trouble....Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
Matt I live in Nevada and will ask around for you,
sorry this happened.

Yes! I do think he would do that! Why wouldn't you report that?? He was staying at a casino.....with surveillance cameras EVERYWHERE! Why not at least say something the the host hotel. The sheriffs office was right around the corner from the field.........no report???

I imagine since the rental car company owns the van, it would be their responsibility to make out the report, if only for insurance purposes.

by Phil Behun on 11 November 2010 - 23:11
BTW, how do you know that the Sheriff's office is right around the corner,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,been there?

by MAINLYMAX on 11 November 2010 - 23:11
Phil,
Very good point, if I was going to tell people
my tires were slashed, I would not do it with a
rental...They take their own pictures and
have their own records.
Cmass... the tire slashing was enough why add to that.

No Phil! YOU, as the renter, are responsible for ANY and ALL damage done to any vehicle you rent! So, going on what you said..... why wouldn't he notify the rental company for their records??? And YES, I was at the Sheriff's office!

by MAINLYMAX on 12 November 2010 - 00:11
Today is the 11th, it was not that long ago.
The rental company probably still has the slashed tires.
I always take the 8 dollar insurance policy offered on
the rental cars. It covers me...But the insurance company has
their own, and is reimbursed .
