There is not much interpretations to the law. they are quite straight forward.
But of course as an individual I do respect the rights of others and usually delete posts when asked.
I resent being threatened before being asked though. But sometimes I read a post and I simply see someont talking about a dog that did not do so good on a schh course and the poster is simply stating what he saw. I cannot see that as libel or defamation, I don't remove posts like that.

nona, are you seriously baiting Oli? Or is it as usual and you simply don't get it, then accuse others of not understanding your "simple" words? You are absolutely amazing!

oli is it legal for the mod to give out ip address of posters?
by CanYouHearMeNow on 05 November 2010 - 01:11
NONA
Why would Oli feel or think he needs to 'defend himself'? Oh God please tell me you did not threaten him, like you did me, with all your friends in VERRRRY HIGH PLACES!?!

Even the law, laid out in black and white is over nona's head.
Apparently she thinks she can just interpret it Her Way.

Awesome reading..............Basically all this is saying is that, the moderators can delete whatever or whoever's post they want for whatever reason they want......Duh... In other words, its their personal preference as to what goes and what stays.....we already knew that........... That is not any new information to this forum.
Sounds like baiting to me!
I'm sure Oli will ignore you as he's not about to get into a troll fight on his own site! Your idiocy probably amuses him in some way.

No one wants to waste any more time than they have to with you. That's the grip.

Bullfrog,
Yes it is. Your IP address is your mechanism to contact servers around the world, you give it out publicly everytime you access anything on the web. Its like a return address. You send out a packet to destination Y (which could be a website or video stream or anything). in your packet has wrapped your public and private ip adress. Just by talking to this website probaly 10-15 different access points know your IP and which destination you are talking to.
( you can see it by typing in a command prompt tracert www.pedigreedatabase.com and count the hops. Each one knows your origin and your destination).
an Ip is number you aquire from your ISP., your ISP owns it not you, They are all preagreed to not hide their IP's just to be able to allow you to access the internet.
You as a person do not control that usage. Any site your computer touches on the internet gets your IP and can use it's information as it pleases. This has been in effect since the net started to be popular around 1991.
