Thank You to the Mods - Page 2

 Thanks to all the moderators that participated in last night's horror.. However I was alittle amused at the fact that special attention was given to my non vulgar, no name calling post that were deleted.....Several other poster tried posting and their's was deleted also....Just seems like the main focus and effort should have been on the spammer, if not, than why weren't the offensive post made by certain posters deleted?  

Not a problem if moderators think my post need to be deleted.  But shouldn't the same guidelines be followed for ALL posters, not just a few....Please be fair to all members.....We should all try to follow TOS...

If the deletions were done by the attacker, than I apologize.  However the ones he was addressing his attack at, none of their post were deleted.....  Just an observation.....

Moderator comment: When we are busy deleting 1600 flood posts anything else even close to being trouble will be deleted. Best bet is to ignore the flooder and not egg him on. Continue to talk dogs and not slam moderators with your veiled threats.

I noticed the classifieds got hit as well. Having been a moderator a few times in my other life, I know what a pain it probably was to clean it up, so kudos.

 RPK, Good question....Also, I was wondering, if the pedigrees that were edited by him/her/it , were pedigrees he owned and submitted or was it pedigrees he/she/it just accessed and edited.....?

Is there a problem answering a very simple question regarding our personal information? Did the spammer have access to it?

I'll start over. Did the spammer have access to our personal data in consideration that the spammer had the same powers as a mod? Is our personal information seccure on this website?

Moderator comment: No.  He did not have moderator powers or he would have deleted everything. Oli assures me the site is safe as any site can be.

Surely Oli should be able to glean an IP address from the most recent juvenile antic?

Thanks, I was very grateful to find that mess cleaned up! What do people stand to gain from such attacks? Is it like cyber-graffiti? Or does it have a purpose, like a distraction to turn attention away from other activity? Whatever... it was nasty, thanks for your efforts neutralizing it. jackie harris

 I have been slowly blocking the IP's the flooder has been using.   I have been monitoring all the IP's he has been using and no other user is using those IP's

Looking at all the IPs  these are the usernames that have been using the same IP set:

Some of them could be transparent  gateways.  so perhaps 1 or 2 of those usernames are innocent.

This thread was started to thank the mods for doing a good job at a thankless task. But once again ANOTHER thread has been taken over by people who think it is all about them and contribute absolutely NOTHING positive or constructive, only their own inept drivel and drama.
