male 60-65cm
female 55-60cm
at the shows and the breed survey all depends at the overall structure and movement.
so plus/minus 1cm from the above doesn't really matter.
most of VA dogs before 2008 were 65cm+
most working dags are 65cm+

the SV standard re height as far as i,m aware of is as follows.FEMALE 57.5cm + or minus 2.5cm,MALE 62.5cm+ or minus 2.5cm.so the correct size for a female is 57.5 and males 62.5.Carole S.

hiya Steve.well i haven,t heard that the SV has actually CHANGED the height requirements,so as far as i,m concerned the SV.standard that appeared in our last breed council handbook is correct.i think ppl.assume its changed coz the judges in all european countries were placing animals who were top size, and slightly oversize,in the top positions.thats why imo.some have said females 55-60,males 60-65 +/-1cm.your female to me is the absolute correct height.my female was measured(60cms)and i was surprised as she is classed at our shows ,here in the UK.,as being either medium/over medium size when in fact she is top size.quite a lot of both sexes here are way oversize so therefore a correct sized animal is classed as small.not many judges measure over here, especially at our general champ.shows.cant say whether they,ve measured at breed club shows as i havent attended many but at the ones i have attended they havent.we,ll have to see wot happens in 2011 when i,m gonna try to attend some breed club championship shows.Carole Spelman.

Uh, no. Anywhere within the range is perfectly acceptable.

"65 inches,I am almost sure, maybe someone will confirm", that would be classic. You wold be able to saddle him up and trott around the ring. We would have to teach Shaq how to catch dogs, LOL
