Execellent idea, Max.

Max, I'm not sure your about the popularity of the GSD in the USA or the PDB being the greatest outlet for the breed, the database is very useful and much appreciated I'm sure. Nixon always made me dizzy, like most politicians he spoke in circles and yes was very boring. A service provider (messing) with you is actionable. Mine is a small co-op and very helpful always. This (is) the only website effected out of all the websites this computer visits. And yes, trust and credibility does come into play. As long as I find interest here and it's not out wieghed by the aggravation I will come around. But if it is redundant and boring I will stop. The only thing of real value is the pedigree database itself, and it has security issues as we all know. As far as real experts joining in I would say great, if they were so inclined and had the time. And if they actually could be considered experts. I don't know that anyone would share their trade secrets out of the goodness of their hearts, they do compete with one another and probably do infight as much as anyone else. I do hope Oli at least finds time to at least give an update here or in private. Moons.

Moons,
2 beers and I can get any trade secret I need out of a German.
The French are much harder to give away their secrets, I would go 2 glasses
of a good Merlot and $50.00 US.
This is a trade secret I give it to you for free. These are just people, not demigods.
I have had the advantage of seeing them screw up a time or two. But dog sports
has a long way to go before we see Budweiser adds.

Big Gulps, huh? Funny how I don't see the best trainers from USA on any list of guests.

Max, it would be intersting to read......  Best of luck to you.  Ulf Kintzel came here a few times and was argued with while talking herding.  Perhaps others would fare better......  A person could hope anyway.

Animules,
I am glad you brought that up. I would limit it to people who
sign up for the discussion and hopefully we get some good  turn outs.
Than the guess can pick and choose questions. He/she can screen question
he does not want to cover. After all I think it is good of these people to come here
for specific topics. The idea is picking things they are really good at, and narrow it
down. In a short period of time.  It would make things much more interesting.

Don,
I listed the ones I would like to speak on certain topics....that's just me.
Feel free to add. A guy who never has time but lots of good stuff is Martin Vollrath.
But I would say there are good trainers out there I just don't  know what they
do well (USA).

How about  YOU?

Would you do the same... Your name appeared on the same list with Martin / am I not right?? You are just as capable.......MV's  whole family from years back have always been on our world team...

HE holds a wealth of knowledge.

Great idea, I would benefit, I must add that we should show them respect and treat them right as they will be our guests, even if some of us will disagree with their methods, it will be good educating threads.

For Drive and focus issues, I would combined
3 people....Bart Bellon, Ronny Van den. Berghe,
and Carlos Escobar...People unfamiliar with
Carlos...He is a extremely nice person and is the
only NVBK judge in the USA.

And than Bernhard Flinks on a separate date.
This website would improve 300%

Drive and Focus is and will always be paramount
in your training. Whether it is a pet or competition dog.
Police canine, Military....it does not matter. Very good stuff.

MM:

Without DRIVE and FOCUS    most sports do not win anything or progress successfully

How can  a Race Car get anywhere by it self...I takes the Focus and the Drive of the man behind the wheel.

Any thing in life has to start with DRIVE AND FOCUS>>>>EVERYTHING....We teach our kids that very thing from age 2  on...
