Did you have an E collar on that dog? Just curious. Great dog with great presence makes the helper look small.
I sent my dog in for a hold and bark on a 6'3" helper. The dog was about a 15 months old and the helper was out of his league. He thought spitting in my dogs face would "motivate" my dog. It just pissed my dog off and my dog was up in the decoys face, clacking his teeth next to the guys nose. As I was taking my time approaching the blind I heard my wife who was watching say "I wouldn't do that if I were you, he's going to bite you in the face." I rounded the blind and found a scared decoy who learned a good lesson and luckily didn't get bit. The dog had a habit of biting decoys in the chest who provoked him.

Just a little advice only the heavy sleeper snores, as the light sleeper hears it all. Ask the heavy sleeper what he/she heard. I am thinking only crickets.

It's one of the few issues we have had to work on. I need to go back to a long line and jerk him back. He likes to get so close to the decoy, he actually slides up and down their body. I need to back him up some. It keeps him cleaner.
