GSDPACK

This is going to sound wierd. Every single dog I ever owned had a "natural" focus on me "the handler" I only prolonged it for about 5-10 months. Introduced destractions and turnes and later corrections. i have the opposite problem... the dog is so focused and hyped on me that it looks intense but not calm.. no biting, no nothing like that..but the dog looks like is about to explode. I have to teach my dog calmness.. weird huh? (the calmness comes with prolonged time and maturity)

And myself  better handling skills.. LOL

GSDPACK, that doesn't sound weird, it sounds like you know how to pick the right dog!

My male is almost 9 months old, I used the method that GSD travels suggested when my male was a young puppy. When he was younger he paid attention very well, not as well now. Would going back to the basic technique with treats, be exceptable at 9 months old. ??

                                                                                     Thanks, Ruger1

If he's familiar with it, he'll go right back to it, easily.   Once he's doing it consistently, start using the command word and stick with it.  I don't see why he wouldn't get right back on track.

Totally free shaping with the pups natural curiosity helping. Plus I can take their natural interest in me and a lot of games to shape a few things without them actually being aware at first that it is training. Just one big ol' game!
For all of us! LOL

Feed the puppy from your mouth regurgitated food like you're a mother bird.  Then if the puppy looks away, start squaking as loud and high pitched as you can, flap your arms like a chicken, so they will look at you again, then give more food from your mouth.  Method on DVD coming soon.
