hell we're leaving for the beach friday night in a group !!!! I gotta ride one of those waves rolling in Saturday early evening ... with all the talk on the news and weather channel (they shut down the racetrack all weekend) .. this is a once in a lifetime surfing the east coast and it's Labor Day !!!!
Don't worry though, my son stay with grandma and pa.

Cleaning the house. The dogs, the kids and I have been gone all summer and the husband's not the best house keeper. last trip one dog stayed home and she's blowing her coat so I'm cleaning hair out of everything and getting my back room set up for the doggies to have as their room.
Going to a BBQ on Saturday though. Plan to have a few bevvies and maybe on Sunday or Monday if the weather is nice drop the boat in the water one last time before the temps drop below freezing. See if we can find a chunk of waterfront property that we like for sale. Lots out there, just nothing that will suit us.

Tri-tip roast on the grill with home-made potato salad and a raw veggie salad. Hanging out with friends and dogs.
Ironing clothes, washing vehicles, waxing the hardwood floors, some work in the yard. (finally starting to look good) May hit a few garage sales looking for an old sewing machine so I can make some curtains for the living room and kitchen.
Nothing terribly exciting, but peaceful and pleasant and safe. :-)

I am actually very domesticated. This house is tiny at 650 sq ft, but has some charming elements and a big, fenced yard. (neglected for quite awhile, but shaping up nicely). A little TLC evenings and weekends goes a long way. Amazing what one can find on freecycle and garage sales, and thrift stores on "dollar days", (everything's $1.) for nothing or nearly nothing, and on Craigslist dirt cheap: garden tools, landscape elements, household items... I'm not talking junk either.
I'm enjoying the whole rebuilding thing, humbly but happily. Turns out I don't need that much "stuff" anymore to be comfortable and happy. Just the basics- simple and easy to keep up by myself.

Racing my horse tomorrow. Sunday? just chillin' hopefully. I'll have to work in the a.m. I've got these dang seasonal allergies and am scratching my eyes out. Praying for the first frost.
