Darn it, MW, now I'm going to have that defying gravity song stuck in my head all night.  When she was 8 years old, my daughter shared a dressing room in a high school musical production of Annie with the girl who was Glenda on Broadway a couple years ago.  Great musical with deceptively catchy tunes.

IDINA MENZEL?!?!?!

Oh god, I love her.

Wicked is a fantastic musical.  That, and Next to Normal are probably the best things to come out of Broadway recently.

Sure beats this obsession with remaking cartoons into musical [Shrek?  WTF?]

Edit, many hours later...
I just realized you said Glinda, not Elpheba, lol.

La Vie Boheme <3 my favorite! Defying gravity is the ring tone for one of my closest friends on my phone, she's an ex-musical theatre diva like me.  She and I can do a mad Take Me or Leave Me duet.

Should throw in a little Avenue Q for good measure. ;)

*sigh*  Avenue Q will never be the same without Gary.

I'm enjoying the last of my days being able to sing Maureen's parts.
Soon I'll be relegated to all of Angel's songs, lol.

[Confession:  I have a horrible crush on Angel.]

After beating a 17 month old child to death, this is what he had to say:
"I was trying to make him act like a boy instead of a little girl," Jones explained. "I never struck that kid that hard before. A one-time mistake, and I am going to do 20 years."
