If the SV won't allow AI, then I'm pretty sure altering DNA won't happen either. I could see, if they can find out which genes causes whichever flaw, that you have the dog tested and decide to breed or not from there, or which stud to use. It wouldn't be any different than having the hips and elbows x-rayed.
If you start altering the DNA itself, what's to stop people from going with a certain color, size, or gender?

neuen-polizei, first of all the SV does not test for Dark DNA or any of it's gene fragments. What I am referring here are the diseases which are caused by RNA and DNA fragments in the Dark DNA material which when eliminated will stop causing a number of very disheartening diseases such as the lethal genetic diseases I have referred to which are polygenic in most cases and very difficult for breeders to track and predict their occurrence. Treating these lethal diseases by removing or neutralizing these Dark DNA (or RNA) fragments would be considered Veterinary health care for the dog and would not effect confirmation, color, proportions, construction, etc. Therefore, I predict that the SV will welcome it with open arms, especially if the vets at the Univ. of Guelph approve it, which they will.
