DDR...What type of temperament did those dogs have that you left locked in crates? You know...the ones that wallowed in their own waste while starving?

I have two dogs and they are great but i never leave them alone with a child (apart from my 12 yr old brother) The risk is too much. A two year old can be quite rough and can be intimidating for a dog. An innocent life has been lost and i hope dog owners can learn that no matter how much you trust a dog dont put them in that situation

If the kid would wondered onto a street and got hit by car , would then the news be:"Child got killed by 1989 Pontiac"?

This is so messed up.  Within one week, two different 2-year olds are KILLED by dogs.

It really makes you realize the gravity of your actions when you are selling, re-homing, or even training a dog for a family.  What really ticks me off is not only the parents being negligent, but this type of thing reminds me of the bad breeders and some rescue people who will adopt out unsafe animals, temperament testing, and choosing safe dogs.

It also makes me think of how I cringe when I see what people allow dogs to do, they take the "part of the family" thing too far, they allow a dog to become no longer an animal, but a fur-person, a babysitter for a child.  I've seen ppl who just rescued a dog and they're posting pictures of their toddlers laying on the floor or crawling on top of the dog, licking baby's face, etc. cringeworthy.  You know what I mean.

I would trust....no I have always trusted the dogs I've owned around my children.

If I couldn't trust one of them, I would not have them.

P.S.
thats such a lame excuse for a news story to start with.........DDR.

The amazing thing is she just continues on with the same screen name. Although, I've noticed similarly styled ramblings under other names.
