It really makes you realize the gravity of your actions when you are selling, re-homing, or even training a dog for a family. What really ticks me off is not only the parents being negligent, but this type of thing reminds me of the bad breeders and some rescue people who will adopt out unsafe animals, temperament testing, and choosing safe dogs.
It also makes me think of how I cringe when I see what people allow dogs to do, they take the "part of the family" thing too far, they allow a dog to become no longer an animal, but a fur-person, a babysitter for a child. I've seen ppl who just rescued a dog and they're posting pictures of their toddlers laying on the floor or crawling on top of the dog, licking baby's face, etc. cringeworthy. You know what I mean.
