I'm @ the northern mountains of Pennsylvania, the higher elevation. We got some heavy heavy rains early Monday morning outta the south west that lasted about 20 mins and by dusk I noticed my plants were burned. That night when I shaved my legs I noticed little tiny bubbles on my skin, then looked at my arms and had some there too. (I was throwing hay while it was raining) I called a friend in Florida and asked them about this and they said it's all over down there. They sent me pictures of their plants and it's the exact same little burns as on mine .. like the plants grew side by side. She said people are getting really sick and nothing in the news.
This isn't good if it does this all the time now, because I feed all my cattle and horses my crops ... I'm pissed about my plants too because Sunday morning before church I always walk around and admire how beautiful they are, in one day they're next to ruin.
I did some research on youtube about this and I see people are making home video about their plants and crops. I'm gonna make a video. I'm pissed. It never rained this stuff before. This should be on our news !!
My parents live about 45 miles south of me and nothing ... they didn't even get the storm early monday. So, only the higher elevations noticed. The farmers council is having a meeting friday, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed right away !!

BabyEagle,
You must not put too much store in You Tube but I agree something is not right.
Remember acid rain?
What goes up must come down.
They have been burning off oil in the gulf along with the dispersant's BP sprayed and the gulf stream feeds the Midwest and on up the east coast.
www.weather.unisys.com/satellite/sat_wv_hem_loop-12.html
You can see the flow in twelve hour loops, last week the lows came barreling through following fronts all across the middle of the country bringing all the rain.
Unless someone just fired up a new power plant I don't know what else would be in the mix.
People just don't understand how everything is connected to everything else.
The Butterfly effect is not science fiction.
I hope someone gets some real facts concerning this fast.
Problem is, there's not much anyone can do to undo whats going on right now.
It took years to get past acid rain.
Moons.

I must say I did notice some burnt looking leaves and could not figure out what made them that way just today.

Some compounds in oil evaporate, but I doubt they'd be carried as far as PA. Maybe if a major weather event occurred near the spill, that would whip it up a bit more, but I really doubt that what you're seeing is from the gulf. If that were the case, we would have seen it before, after other, larger spills. This is not YET the largest spill, (although, it may be, once all is said and done, if we can ever get a truthful answer from those who do know) but it's not over . JMO, I could be wrong.

Has anyone, on the gulf coast or otherwise, noticed it having any effect on their dogs? I'd be a bit nervous tracking, to be honest.
