Keith Grossman

In this case, 'status quo' means continuing to address the issues that Danny did and Cindy assures you that she will do so going forward.

I had to laugh when I first read the part about her not being politically correct.  If you knew Cindy, you'd understand what an understatement that is but then again, neither am I...

Main Entry: status quo
Pronunciation: \-ˈkwō\
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin, state in which
Date: 1807
: the existing state of affairs <seeks to preserve the status quo> The meaning of status qou in the context of my inquiry does not mean to continue the existing state of affairs! Danny made it clear he resigned because  of  lies and deceptions which seem to be business as usual! If Danny conducted the affairs of WDA in the status Quo tradition then why did he loose sleep and tender his resignation ? It seems to me that Cindy knows exactly what the status Qou is from her astute declaration of not being politically correct! Additionally she stated she would adress the issues facing the organizatrion! she did not mention a thing about adressing the issues Danny resigned over! Her reply is indicitive of a schrewd  politician!  I trust she will keep the best interests of the membership and the breed above the interests of the ruling elite!

I think you're confused about the difference between the GSDCA and the WDA.  The lies and deceptions Danny spoke of were those of the parent club, not internal to the WDA.  Danny fought against the former to maintain the integrity of the latter, a tradition I am sure Cindy will continue.

It just seems a shame that if he fought to maintain the integrity of the WDA, which means he was a man of integrity, that he gave up and left it to who knows what?  It means to me he didn't consider it (WDA) worth fighting for. I don't know that much about the WDA not being a shep owner, but I felt good about having Danny in there. He seemed like a good guy.  I wish he had kept scratching.

Sometimes, NoCurs, people just tire of the fight.  He did not, however, leave the organization to, "who knows what," he left it in very capable hands with someone he knew would always put the members and the integrity of the breed first.  Cindy didn't just wander in off of the street corner; she is well known in the GSD world and has been very active in the WDA for many years as have the rest of the staff.
