Missing the tug and biting the handler though - that most likely has to do with handler giving an iffy tug presentation or if you have a pup that has not learn to target well yet.
I feel the punching is fine. The biting - well, with high drive dogs it's gonna to happen once in awhile - but it's not good and should be avoided if possible. That is, it should not be a frequent occurrence.

If the dog touches my face I would end the game, you don't want to encourage that kind of pushy behavior it can be dangerous. I got hit in the chin once (said Foos! and the dog jumps up into the air to fip heel, hitting me in the chin with his front teeth), end the game if theres any flesh bitten, my dogs target pretty well so that doesnt happen much

From the sounds and looks of it, I am putting myself in the way, and I do tend to lift the tug up when making them miss, yet something else I'm working on. The videos seem like they will help, thanks Jason!
I will look into the protective clothing, even if it only helps a little...And even if it is too hot. At this rate I will never be able to wear shorts without people staring at me like I'm a battered woman, that gets poked with fingertips LOL
Doberdoodle, I got a bloody nose from that exact scenario the other day. Fuss to Galan means hop up in my face, then pivot haha!!! Only it was Indi who gave me the bloody nose.
I'm 36, but an old 36 LOL
And yes I know my legs are very white, in fact they GLOW and at this rate I'll never be able to tan haha!
