Furby,
Do your own research as should any one else buying a dog from this breeder or any breeder. The information is here and you can make your own decision. You are on the right path to learn all about this breeder. I would look at other breeders as well and not limit yourself, there are many reputable breeders in that area or not a far drive from there. You will have this dog for 8 to 10 years at least so make an educated decision it's an important one.

Some breeders run completely off of recommendations when it comes to their litters, and don't even have to update their website to get the attention they need for their dogs. This to me speaks volumes as the dogs they have produced are walking advertisements. I know this first hand. I have grown a relationship with this breeder and have a deposit down currently on one of this breeders next males. I have seen her stud male work in person and he works like a working line. I watch working lines work everyday at my club, and I was very very impressed with this male. I've heard countless compliments on the male of this kennel and have seen what this dog produces. All of that plus hearing the intentions, and goals of this breeder has put in a complete package for me where I simply cannot pass this chance up.
I would personally choose a male without a V or VA rating who can work and produce over a V or VA dog any day.
Not to mention the rich coloration of this dog, the temperament, the drive, the everything on this dog screams the beautiful work of Germany. This male is fantastic and the females of this kennel do a fantastic job of complimenting this male and making fantastic offspring. These are my very own, in person observations.
Anyone is welcome to PM me with any questions on this breeder I will be happy to answer any questions. Otherwise I encourage those sincerely interested in these dogs to contact the breeder and discuss what you are looking for in a dog.

If a dog is a good "working dog" it is because it has titles... otherwise it is just opinion. All we are saying is that for a "working dog kennel" she has precious few real titles or health checks - doesn't mean she does not produce nice dogs - she very well may - but she needs to ramp up her health checking and put some meaningful titles on her dog if she wants to be taken seriously. I hope she chooses to do so, as it appears she has some nice dogs.

I have purchased a F-litter (Oct-09) female from Jen (Haus Huro) and I found her to be knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely concerned about her litters and where (and with whom) they were going. Faygo has very good conformation and color, and her temperament and drives are excellent for sport. Faygo has currently started training towards her BH and I am hoping to get her to at least a SchH-2, as long as my real job permits it. As it is, she already tracks quite methodically for a puppy her age and she trains exclusively on "toy drive".
As to the comments of her not having enough of this or that to be taken seriously, there are plenty of "titled" dogs who can't do squat away from the field where they had their SchH-1 and Koer hung upon them, so I'd be a bit leery of many of these titled dogs unless they compete regularly both "home and away". Also, most breeders of any importance were at one time lacking in some areas. Given time, I'm certain that she'll do quite well. The question should be: is she resting on her laurels, or is she moving the status of her kennel and dogs at the best rate possible given the governing bodies rules and other variables. From all I can see, Jen is out hustling to show, train and compete her dogs while breeding a very well balanced showlines dog with strong sporting abilities.
The event mentioned earlier, is lamentable, but these things can, and do, happen to the most thorough owners. If I had the room, I might consider buying another pup from Jen, and I probably will in about 8 to 12 years.
