Looks like a mix of Husky/ siberian. From the looks of it the coat seems silkier than coarse. Markings are a bit different than the usual GSDs. I am sure he is a nice Dog. Can't blame him.

She seems typical of the uneducated public also, keeping her dogs nice and FAT. Not all of her dogs are fat, but some are very overweight. Anubis has been said by many to be way too skinny or little for a GSD....considering he has a year and a half to finish maturing, gaining muscle, and filling out, I'll still keep him lean though, but I know people will always have the false image of a GSD, always thinking my boy doesn't look right for this breed.. Every German Shepherd I see around here looks like the guys in those pictures, black and tan, so called old style over sized, and I doubt they could fight their way out of a paper sack. I like knowing Anubis can work with a ton of endurance and just keep on going, he's extremely fast, and powerful for his size. Then again if your kids want a horse, you can just get them one of her GSDs instead and they can ride around on it.......
I've heard of windy acres though.....I thought someone said she was in Tennessee, but the site said Iowa. Someone I talked to in Nashville said that at least. I'm guessing they don't work their dogs at all either. I've always wandered what Max Stephanitz would think if he could see what people are doing to his breed.

well he's not exactly hardcore breed standard conformation or anything, but he looks like a purebred to me. I agree with VomMarischal. Just because he isn't a standard GSD doesnt mean he can't be an awesome dog for someone.

I think he is a very handsome dog. I agree with crhuerta, he has a strong head and expression.

Why can't people groom their dogs? I would say it is a pure GSD but GROOOOOM IT!!!! There is so much dear hair that the dog groomed would probably look completely different once all the chunks are out. I got a GSD from a lady that have never took a bruch to the dog and his chest looked like the pic of this dog.He had feathering on his back end. After I brushed him and she saw him again she asked "what happened to his pretty feathering?" Grrr GSDs aren't supose to have feathers!!! Ok done venting.Just hate when people can't take the time to groom a dog but they have time to breed them and make $$ off of them
