KaydiasMom.my thoughts and prayers are with yu and the owners of this puppy.i too,once sold a male puppy,many years ago to a family who owned a large apple orchard in the depths of the countryside.the lady asked all the rite questions,ie hips(didnt have elbow scoring in the uk then),diet,worming etc.she asked me to hold off presenting her chq.until her vet had examined the pup.she rang me the next day and said he,d been given a clean bill of health and so i could present chq.for payment.i rec,d a letter from her when he would have been approx 18 months old to tell me that he had been PTS.due to STOMACH CANCER.he hadnt eaten very well for a few days and so she took him to vets as she was worried.at first they thought he has swallowed something he shouldnt have.when opened up his stomach was riddled with cancer.no explantian for this,according to vet was one of those things that just happen.vet said nuthing i (as breeder)could have known.i was once told that we all have cancer in our bodies,it just needs something to set it off.send my sympathies to the animals owners please.i will keep my fingers crossed that there is a glimmer of hope for them Carole.
