Yep, I know how that goes! (The digging and getting soaked)
I thought I was clever and could outsmart them by getting one of the raised pool/sandboxes... They still manage to put their feet it in.
I change the water in both 2 to 3 times a day... I have to even if it isn't muddy. As I mentioned in another post, Lina pees in the regular kiddie pool

Added: So I just heard this weird dragging noise about 15 minutes after I filled the pool to the brim. Indi empitied it and was dragging it across the concrete patio to the yard

Maggie, he is a beautiful boy. I love his head and the pool photo is soooo typical of my own dogs.

Congratulations on a good report.

Good job on being a great ambassador for the breed!  Echo loves going to the vet.  She kisses everyone and we get the same horry story from all the vets there about the other GSDs they see.  They always compliement her on her manners and wonderful temperament.  One vet said the only damage ever done to his kennels was caused by a GSD.  I get the feeling he doesn't like them and he is spay happy so we don't use him anymore.  We use another vet at the same clinic that disagrees with his agenda even though he is her boss.  She doesn't believe in spay/neuter unless medically necessary and actually owned a GSD until she had to put him down.  She was looking to replace him but hadn't found what she was looking for the last time we talked.   We need all the good press we can get!  Nice pics by the way.  We dragged out Echo's swimmy pool this weekend and she spent the whole time digging the water out.  I was drenched.

Just for conversation sake,  my vet has no horror stories about GSD's.

The vet tech rescued one actually, calls him Freeway, cause, yup, he got hit on one.

My GSD's  are not kissing everyone there (not that I'd want them to) but are not the least bit aggressive either.  My vet is a quiet man so I was surprised when he called my female beautiful.  The pup was perfect too.  Anyway, is it really so strange to have well behaved GSD's?  I  personally don't think so.
