that was one of the most well written, considerate and informative posts that I have read on here in a long time. No bashing no agenda just an honest thoughtful reply.

California , and especially in the San Francisco Bay Area, and in LA , have high pay and income of its residents. The Economy being so business driven in these 2 area's allows people ( even dog dumb people) to have extra money for things they want/need. Also , there is a need over here for protection; and dogs that are already trained because these business people can't pull the time out of there butts ( hell, on average here in California people spend 15 mins a day of quality time with there kids ).
Vom Falconer dogs are well trained before they are sold, and its of benefit to sell dogs here in California ( where people change there minds like underwear) without there AKCs or Pink Papers - to keep from producing more dogs. I would think that all Breeders should be so smart to withhold there papers on dogs that are not intended on being bred.
I live here in California, and Von Falconer kennels is only an hour and a half away.. yet I have NEVER even seen a dog from this kennel except on his website or on a pedigree..( I think this is because they are not over-bred.)
Consider this, how much is your time worth ? Not so much how much the animal its self is worth. If you take an puppy and raise it up for Police/k9 work , do you realize that its going to cost more for the PD than it would just to buy a dog from Germany ? There are labor laws that prevent us over here from training Police dogs for free.. there was an article in the Modesto Newspaper about it ( where I am basically getting the idea from). Even if he pays less for this dog , and trains it and then re-sells the dog to the right home- don't you think he should be able to make a living ? Is it wrong to make a living anymore?
Here where I am; his puppy prices are very reasonable for the whole state of California. $1200 , and he throws in free puppy classes for his people to come back and get training.. way better than any other GSD breeder around. I hope in a few years to develop my own kennel and do the same.. or at least have puppy socials here on the weekends.
Lets not forget to scroll down to the bottom where there are rescue dogs.. hello ? Looks like he is doing his part.

$8,500
... You can get a A LOT MORE DOG for that amount of money than what is stated above. Like a Sch3. IPO3, FH1, KKL1 national competitor, for example, if that is what you want to do with the dog.
