Thank you all. Wonderful explainations and information. Some of this ........I think cant be found in books also. That's the advantage of today's forums and blogs.

Yeah. Now I recall ...........we had a mix dog some 20yrs ago and my friend who used to visit me everyday and always used to interact with the dog .........was sitting beside the dog with his hand on the dog ........petting him over the topline. After a while the dog turned back and bit him on his biceps for no reason. I did not understand but later he became a problem dog ....finally he died.  And I have even seen some more dogs who kind of look at you differently and even you can figure out the dog is ......something wrong .....

Coming to my female GSD long time ago ............I should say she has clear head. You can see the confidence and clarity in her mind. Not like ........can I touch her or not....

Again I think its mostly genetics and socialization or training everything comes later. I think even trainablity is also genetics.

Thank you all.

clear head or clear mind is the dog having stability to think/act/react/engage/stop engaging/do or not do something under stress, generally speaking.

Well explained, Adi, thanks.

yeah, well... you're welcome. Now, I just have to explain that to my dog, and I'd be good to go.

Let me know when you work that out, please, because although my female is usually clear headed, she gets really foggy just before the blind search begins.

I think of it completely aware of whats going on around them, seeing things as they really are not some warped perception. situational awareness in its purest form.. when people say things  involving inapropriate behavior like ''oh he was protecting me'' or ''he thought such and such to excuse away the behavior ..I say protecting you from what?? there was no viable threat? and regarding its kooky  thinking I say ''he thought wrong''  very dead pan of course
