I have successfully fed Pinnacle to my dogs here for over 10 years. Excellent food I have had dogs come in who had poor diets prior or allergies to other foods and I have yet to have a dog in my kennel not thrive on the food. Pinnacle is made by Breeders Choice who is now owned by Central Pet. They are also the makers of Avoderm which is the second down on the list from Pinnacle for those areas where Pinnacle is not yet available. Pinnacle is a Holistic food suitable for all life stages. My only complaints on the product is it is not very palatable to puppies if you are a breeder and want to wean your puppies onto it. For this I add in the canned foods, olewo carrots and cottage cheese for the babies. Or I feed the Avoderm puppy as many of my clients may not be able to find Pinnacle in their area. If you are a breeder they have an excellent breeders program. For every 10 bags you buy you mail in the UPC symbols and receive a voucher for two free bags. If you are a large kennel you can do like I do and I bring it in on a truck and buy a Pallet of 60- 30# bags. I pay for the 1st 50 bags and then get 10 free on the pallet in addition to the UPC symbols so I am actually getting 20 bags free for every 50 I buy and that is excellent. Some retailers will also do a punch card for the Pinnacle much like Natural Balance did for awhile. I do not know if they are still doing it but it would be a buy 12 get 2 free. My dogs look amazing. Their coats are always very glossy and shiny and they are in excellent health. I have not given a bath here in over 3 years and my dogs never have a doggy odor, dry skin or dull coats I have actually had people come to my home and when we have talked about food I have even had them smell my dogs. They actually smell sweet. I also have Senior dogs here and just two weeks ago I took my 12 year old bitch in for a health exam and my vet could not believe how amazing she looked. Her wieght is perfect her coat looks better then some 7 year olds I have seen all her bloodwork came back beautiful. I have tried over the years many many many foods from being a religious raw feeder to you name it and this is the best food I have ever fed my dogs. If you base your dogs food on what they poop there are no claims to pooping hard solid turds but digestively my dogs have been very healthy if they have had softer stools it is more likely from eating grass, pond water or something they found in the yard. But in all I am very happy with this food and will happily feed it to my dogs for years to come as long as they keep up the quality of their product. great stuff #1 in my book!! I do not give additional supplements and any additional food I give treats etc.. would be raw fruits and vegetable and occasional chicken necks or backs or cooked cubed meats for training treats plenty of fresh clean water and thats it.

Bhaugh,
yes, I did try Natural Balance as well. But is was the regular one and the venison/potatoe for the allergic male. He was on Veniso/Potatoe from Royal Canine prescription diet and did well. But even tho it had the same ingredients he started itching badly. And what a mess....mushy yellow stool in all the dogs...no fun.

Thanks for letting me know that. Its amazing how different recipes of the same ingredients can either make or break the dog.
