".....but I always thought that "owner edit" under my avatar was because as I type, if I hit the wrong key and correct that was the reason. Also, every thread I read while logged on becomes "Report Abusive." When I log off the thread is no longer "Report Abusive." I'm going to post again and make sure I correct no keys. Wonder if "owner edit" comes up?....."

Since only the owner of a post can edit that post, if you are logged out, you are not recognized and therefore you will never see the "owner edit" function option when logged out.  Same thing with "report abusive" option.  Both those options  are only available to members.  When you are logged out, and look at the board, the computer can only recognize you as a "guest" not a "member".

Get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning ??   Very grouchy.

Alright----I get it Sue.  Rarely log on.  Report Abusive and Owner Edit are merely tools.  Stuck on Stupid, I guess.  So....my post on another thread was subjectively deleted.  Not pleased.  Not pleased at all.

My opinion is that the "good threads" are randomly being reported as abusive and deleted to "divert attention" from

"their" real "target threads" -- the Threads/Posts that "they" do NOT want others to see/read.    It is a game that is

being played.   Maybe it is being done to effect a result of Oli adding Moderators to the Board.   That would be fine with

me if it should happen, as long as the Moderators ARE NOT members of this Forum....it needs impartial

moderators.

Nah,  you aren't  stuck on stupid!.  As Moons said, we have been  through this before, I think the last time  was around 18 or 20 months ago.  It's happened to me, and to many other members.  Sometimes you can figure out why, sometimes there really seems to be no rhyme or reason.  I do believe some of the deletions are accidental and random, of course not all of them, but perhaps some.   I had a thread deleted the other day, but I don't let it bother me because what would be the point?  I don't believe it's anything personal.  Since  this is Oli's board to run as he sees fit, our only choice really, is to accept how he runs it, and if we can't accept it,  go elsewhere, right?

Right.  If Oli deleted my post....yes. i would have no choice but to accept his decision and delete my database tab.  If, though,.....it wasn't him, (and for the life of me, it just doesn't fit my picture of him),..... well.....hmmm.....think I'll just repost to that thread.  You may be right----possibly random or accidental.  Anyway...it's best to ask Oli before overreacting, right?

Oh come on Sue -- You are ONE of the 3 and the enablers who are doing it !   I notice that anytime someone complains about their Threads/Posts being deleted, you come on with some "lame" explanation and ALWAYS mention that it happened to you too -- too divert attention from yourself!    Ain't buying it.....anyone who is watching closely can figure this out in a heartbeat.    The above is my opinion, of course.

LMH I don't know what else to say, other than logic dictates that since this exact thing has happened before, it is a similar event, which makes a lot more sense to me  than the illogical conspiracy theory concocted by our  resident shit stirrer.  Of course she would rather everyone get up in arms and be emotional and upset because that suits her.   I prefer logic to hysteria, but then that's just me, everyone is free to believe as they wish.

You are fooling SOME people -- but NOT ALL people.   It will all come out in the wash !
