just judging fro the small description in the post...
Not epilepsy, or anything of that nature. Sounds like obsessive compulsive behavior, in one word a bit neurotic.
A few questions... How much time do you spend wit your dog ACTIVELY interacting with it daily?
Does the dog like to chase a ball or swim? Done any obedience with it? Play tug of war. TAke it out for runs and walks for a few hours EVERY DAY? If the answer is umm... no, try this.
Let it swim and chase a stick or a floating ball into the water or run after a ball or a frisbee for a few hours. Teach it tracking, or heeling, or soe other obedience exercises, like sit, stay, down, come etc... Do all of this for a day. When the dog is dead tired - observe for the same behaviors.
Then, report back. Does the dog seem content now or has the same behaviors?
