Steve1,
I was hoping someone else in UK with much more knowledge in schutzhund will fill you in with your query. I am not currently active in the schutzhund after attaining BH with my dog last year. However, I try to keep abreast with major events and results as i reside in UK. I do not claim to know all the details of the actual decisions being made as regards to Joint Selection Trials though I remembered discussions started (or it seemed then) last year about possible Joint Selection from the two organisations namely, GSDL-WB and BAGSD-VPG. All I can say for now is it has not materialised at least not for 2010.
Here are some info:
GSDL-WB
1st Selection trial: 20/21st March 2010
2nd Selection trial: 17/18th April 2010
3rd Selection trial: 5/6th June 2010
So far, Henriette Bohnstedt (Blackenberry Casper : 277 + 280) is the first to qualify for the WUSV. There will be two remaining places to compete in June for the WUSV and also a deciding factor for 2 places for the FCI.
As far a BAGSD-VPG, this is what I have copied from their site as their criteria for selection.
All BAGSDS VPG events will count towards team points but the BAGSD Supertrophy is mandatory. (to be held on the 1/2nd May 2010)
Each participant will submit their best three scores and the best average scores will make up the BAGSD team.
Only one continental score may be submitted.
The starting date for qualifying scores is at Walsall VPG on the 24th/25th October, 2009 and the finishing date is the 31st June, 2010.
Hope that helps :)

Looking back at your post 21st April, You say that Henrietta Bohnstede is the first to qualify for the WUSV
what has now happened about the Joint Trial between BAGSDS-VPG and GSDL for final Selection or do you just mean the Lady has been Selected for the GSDL side

I'd love to be there to see Gabi's puppy in the WUSV. He's a banger, takes helpers to the ground.

if you get there and i get there then i will take you out to Dinner, at the moment the Belgian team do not know how they will get to Sevilla, They cannot fly from Brussels or anywhere out of Belgium i have checked on that if they go by road it is about 2.300kms a lot of travelling for the Dogs, So i really am not sure how they will get there
But if we do it will be a very good Meal with Champers as well

Hi Steve1,
GSDL-WG will be having their 3rd Selection Trial as planned on the 5th and 6th June. So far Henriette Bohnstedt has already qualified her dog from the first two selection trials. I believe another two candidates will be selected thereafter from the GSDL-WG.
I have no idea who is standing for the BAGSD-VPG. There is no obvious information on their website.
The thread "Team for WUSV world championship" started on the German Shepherd Forum page came to a halt.
see ( www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/forum/41201.html )
So I do not know if there is going to be a Joint Selection Trial between the 2 organisations. I am sure we'll know the outcome for the UK Team (whether split or joint selection criteria used) come closer to date. Regards.

IF the BAGSD-VPG do not agree to a joint Selection Trial then surely they are breaking the Rules laid down and there fore no one from that side should be eligible to compete.
If they do then it must be them who rule the roost and call the shots in the WUSV, that cannot be allowed to happen If they refuse to co operate then report that fact to the organisers

Steve1,
As you know, these talks and discussions to have a Joint Selection Trial in UK has been the main stumbling block for both the organisations. Who knows, they may be "in progress" talks and only the main representatives of either organisations can enlighten us as to what their final decision will be.
I guess for the timebeing, we just have to "cap" our patience :)
