No, actually, you didn't.   What you said was she's a nice dog, not a nice-looking dog, and there's a difference.  Blackthorn's comment was justified - you know nothing about whether or not she's a nice dog, you only know her looks from the snapshot (which IMO from that one photo, doesn't really earmark her as a particularly nice-looking dog anyway).

As for wlpool's comment, I think it quite appropriate.  She's not the, but one of the most often on here to impale herself and/or immolate herself with her own words.

The conversation above is stupid.

Nonacona, it is just nit-picking.........

by TessJ10 on 31 March 2010 - 11:03

No, it's not.  Words mean something.  So if you want to say something, say it.  If you say B, but you really mean A, don't blame people for taking you at your word that you mean B.    Especially in writing.  In face-to-face conversations these things can be straightened out much faster, but when you're writing and make a flat statement, you can't blame people for thinking you said what you meant to say.

An Opinion is an Opinion I havent been on here long and havent posted much and this is the reason.. People on here seem to jump to conclusions to fast on many stupid things that shouldnt be jumped to.. Like the dog being chained up, OMG the dog is chained up lets post on how horrible it is.. Instead of taking a good look at the picture an paying attention to the small details ( that looks like the dog isn't always chained up ) No you see the chain and probably not even the dog.. As for Nonacona' Statement once again all you see is her saying shes a nice dog.. She says nothing bout breeding the dog nothing bout she wants the dog etc, so why jump the conclusion Yes words mean something but people need to stop looking more into what is really posted, I am asuming that everyone on here is a mature adult but by the way some people act seems not.. So maybe we should start focusing on our dogs a little more on helping out people that need help instead of worring bout the non sense or as Maggie Mae says Nit Picking..

An just for the records this is Exactly what Nonacona posted  originally.. Seems people are trying to please themselves with drama.. Thats Sick..

"If you are referring to that nice looking sable female chained to the post, I agree 100%." as by Nonacona

Hodie
Wow, misspelled again.....Okay, but you already told me I was going to hell for misspelling so what's new?
Back to what should be the most important question on a GSD database massage board.  You have been so "high and mighty" on this board going so far as to pull some innocent ad over to the message board just to harass it WHEN, in reality you breed untitled dogs yourself.  Instead of offering a REASON why you have such a double standard, I've heard, you go to attack my breeding program.  I expected as much hence not reading your posts.  I have not received one private pm telling me that you choose to knock this person for some of you own breeding philosophies because.........  What's the problem?  Is the question to hard?  Or does the concept of everyone on this board knowing that you are a mean troll to much for you to process?  Oh, yes they know.  I get plenty of PMs about your mean nasty little self.  You have others to scared to speak up, but then again that's your goal.
Instead of being so childish as to correct spelling, why don't you, on the GERMAN SHEPHERD DATABASE, explain why you have such a double standard and jump to horrible conclusions that are FALSE just to hurt/injure/maim the other party involved.  And note to hodie followers, I DON'T think that hodie is always wrong.  In fact, I think she as some great information and could be very helpful, but chooses to be mean and irate to many and that turns people away.
The dog in the photo was a nice looking dog, in fact, every bit as if not more attractive than the untitled bitch hodie bred.
Why is it that instead of focusing on OTHERS breeding programs (THAT DON'T EVEN ASK FOR ADVICE!) we don't focus more on IMPROVING our own.  Or does everyone here have a PERFECT program in place?

WoW Wlpool, Thanks very well said. Some pepople just focus on all the wrong things instead of correcting themselves they waste precious time picking on others.. UGH!! Make sure your hands are clean before you point your finger.. Sounds like a good Signature.. Just got to figure out how to do that LoL

Maybe, just MAYBE, we should ALL grow up, and learn to stick to the topic of conversation.......After all this nit-picking, do you really think the young man got anything valuble from us. NOOOOOO, i bet he didn't. He's probably so scared he will NEVER ask for help again. I think our goal here should be to help educate those who ask for help but PLEASE lets do it in a understanding manner. We all started off at the bottom and worked our way up. I have never had any person insult me for questions I asked or things they thought I did wrong until this forum. I've been in the breed for almost 30 yrs. I still am learning. Yeah, you may say just learn to ignore those people. Well if we would all try to be more understanding and not so quick to judge we could accomplish and educate many more. If we have anything negative to say about someone or to someone, PLEASE do it in a PM.. Lets use the PM for what its worth. Some people make innocent mistakes. Why do some people always have to stir up a hornets nest...

PS: At almost 30yrs in this wonderful breed, I am still learning and do ask questions. Is there anyone here that can say they don't need to ask questions? Seems like there are some who never ask questions, but are here to insult and critize those who do ask and are trying to get educated...

I gotta tell you, sometimes I haven't a clue what you MEAN. Writing is about communicating ideas; I really had NO FREAKING IDEA what DIDO meant (sounded like some kind of woodworking tool). So if you want to SAY something, I suggest you say something assimilable to your audience. It ain't rocket science.

What is not rocket science is that this post isn't about spelling and grammar as much as it is about a dog and how a NEW comer noticed the vicious way in which one was attacked without provocation.  To me it seems like the spelling and grammar aspect of the thread was added as a distraction to the topic.  It seems to have worked for a few.
Hmmmmm.
