A good post, and I agree in principle. But the issue is that some don't bother to pick and choose, nor is there a consensus on what "battles" to pick and choose.

Picking and choosing is all very well, we all try to research the stud dogs we use, BUT be honest when was the last time you heard any one say that they produce a puppy with an inherited disease and they used *%^$# dog.
Last year a breeder did say to me that she had a bad result from a breeding and had to refund money and also replace one other puppy and have 1 PTS. ------------ Does that mean that we don't use that stud --------- No I don't think so but we all need to be aware and just having that information help us make the correct choice when of if we want to use that line
No they don't talk about it and if you asked the stud owner about anything negative that the dog may have produced you will not get a direct answer Because it had to be the fault of the bitch of course, Yes maybe it was !!!!!!!!
