i had been wanting something out of troll milinda for years, but it seems that it never worked out until this past year. i had a line on a female in belgium, but the owner didn't want to sell her out of the country. rinus had a breeding that i liked very much, but she came up empty. finally, this past year, charlie meszaros had the perfect combo! i already have a female out of aldo bleekhof by xiena getevallei. aceofnike being a littermate of aldo and #2 wusv dog "08 and bred to gora who was similar breeding to xiena, but having troll for her grandsire. i was thrilled! igor was born in sept & i took shippment in november, so he is now 6 months old and everything i could ever want in a puppy.
troll was probably the closest dog to being perfect in terms of working ability, drives and trainability. no doubt he was an awesome dog, but troll was not without problems. he produced his fair share of long coats, bad hips and undescended testicles. as a breeder, one has to be prepared to deal with these things if they arise; not lose sight of the goal and to continually work toward that goal. as with any male, it makes a great difference what they are bred to in terms of what they will produce. similarly, it makes a difference where they appear on the pedigree as to how highly inheritable they are. quatsch/zidane are also in a highly inheritable position----not a bad thing. you will do fine so long as you are not expecting little troll clones. have you thought about where you are going next with this?
pjp
***added later: if you are attempting to reproduce troll (and i don't know that you are) then it would do well to take a look at what made troll in the first place. 2Xfado with orry in a highly inheritable position.

No I,m not looking to reproduce Troll, I,m not foolish enough to chase that idea. There is only one of each animal ever born in my opinion. Just hoping for the workabality each of the lines have brought to the table. Every line brings it,s draw backs with it and must be concidered in the mix what was dominant what was recesive. Both dogs show good drives the female brings a strong civil side with her. I don,t breed to sell I bred when I need dogs and Axel is 9 years old and I,m not in the posistion to collect seman so I will produce this litter keep them all till I,ve decided which 2 (female and male) I will keep then place the rest in working homes without charge. They will go with limited regs and when they recieve a passing OFA score and a preformance title I will release full reg,s.
