It is 33* and snowing in Longview , Texas! I have on two pair of everything wool and a stocking cap. Our light bills were over 350.00 both months so I refuse to pay it again. Drinking hot tea and eating chili and tamales and looking for the electric blanket control.  Would love to HANG AL GORE on the clothes line out back with welding grips and see how he likes Global warming.   Wish I had a fireplace but then no wood. sigh!

We're up to 43 degrees now and the snow is gone except for small amounts in the shade and shadows.  Lots of mud puddles however and Echo has danced in everyone of them.  UGH!  Earlier today she was carrying around large pieces of ice roughly the size and shape of dinner plates that she managed to chew loose from places where the snow melted and refroze.  She loves this stuff.  The wind should dry things up fairly quickly, thank goodness.

The wind is blowing at 21mph right now and the tempt for tonight and early morning is  predicted to go to  28* which means 25 * at my house.

BY Weds it is going up to 70* then Thurs 74*   wow..back to 41* at night.

New buds are gone and the Azalea Trail is gonna not be very pretty this year.

I have been outside watering, playing with dogs inbetween sanding and painting. Just got a call about a BBQ, I'm jumping in the shower, putting on clean clothes, then I'm off. Today was a bit cloudy but it is nicer to work in that the last few days. I see patches of clue sky now, it's burning off and looking spring like again.

Ok, 4pack and Shelly, you two are just trying to irk me...and it's working!  I am jealous!!!!  But I just need to be patient.  I'll be happy in no time, it's Kansas.  If you don't like the weather just stick around...it'll change soon.  I love my changing seasons, I love my changing seasons, I love my changing seasons....LOL

Yes, there is that!  I love a good summer thunderstorm with lots of lightning and thunder booming, the house shaking but I can do without the twisters.  We do keep an eye on the sky and one on the radar.  They are a strange and powerful force of nature, beautiful to behold and at the same time, terrifying.  I don't ever want to see one up close.  Ever!
