Gee, thanks to you I'll probably stay out of jail.

Boy, I feel stupid now....I must have been totally wrong when I thought the headline was tounge in cheek!
Stupid me, I took it simply as a plea for help for a dog.

Edit
Meh. I apologize, I don't need to be snarky about it.

Hey - when you post such a notice on this or any other board there are enough radical minded fools that begin to plot a mission.

That is why the information is "conveniently" given to them - such as:
Picture if dog, medical condition, location of dog in vicinity of house, dog appears vicious but is not, exact address via google maps.

I have been involved in raids with much less Intel. So don't tell me it is tongue in cheek.

I bet you didn't broadcast it internationally before you did it.

by tuffscuffleK9 on 28 February 2010 - 19:02

You are exactly correct. As a matter of fact it was always on a need to know basis only.  Then only at the last  moment. If I was this dog's owner I would go "visit" the following place and person (if you know what I mean):

Perfect Touch (Auto body shop)
5625 Fondren (At Westpark Tollway)
Houston, TX 77036

Allan Levy
AL-ONE Dog Rescue
(713)294-8020

And ask why in the hell did he see fit to broadcast my address which endangers my family to the entire world.  Then leave him with a couple of "love taps".  Then if he lacks the balls to take his punishment and calls the cops. Just keep quite asking the officer immediately for an attorney, get booked, when the attorney arrives give him all the posted info.  You may temp. loose your dog but probably not if you clean up the situation first.

Just My Thoughts

Gawd I love a good raid. But in all honesty, it's been at least 20 years since I orchestrated one. Several times since then, when the dogs have ended up dead or PTS, I have been sorry I didn't. But again, when I meant to do it, I didn't announce it to ANYone.

Your right if your gonna do it just do it. Don't tell the whole world.

"His doghouse does not adequately protect him from the rain."  Does not because it leaks, or does not because the dog would rather sit out in the rain, like a lot of dogs?

Feces everywhere...Disgusting, someone is very lazy.  No food or water dishes in evidence...He should have water at all times, but a lot of people, myself included, do not keep food out all the time for our dogs, and some pick up the dishes, clean them and put them away between feedings.

Don't know all the details here...Wonder if it is as bad as stated...Animal cruelty laws prohibit not giving the dog adequate water and shelter...Call Animal control if there's something wrong.

Castle laws also apply in my state...And I wouldn't hesitate to protect my dogs, kids, or property.

Crys

Funny side note...I can shoot and kill a person threatening my home, family, or property (unless it is with legal authority, warrant, etc), but I can't shoot a moose destroying my property...Has to be attacking a human being for the shooting to be legal.  He can destroy my vehicles, my house, my garden...Can't do anything but shoot him with "less lethal" rubber shotgun slugs provided to us by Fish and Game....

Sad truth is, what's to stop them from just getting another dog to take the place of this one? Stealing the dog to save it, will probably sentence another dog to the same sad life. If this is a truly abusive situation, call animal control. Or maybe one of you vigilantes might try a face to face conversation for some owner education. Good luck with that though. If there is one thing people hate worse than being told how to raise their kids, it's being told how to care/train their dogs.
