WOW: thank you for everything and all that you do. All of us 'geeks' appreciate it as we can't help ourselves. Good luck in the search in Haitia.

Oli,
Your land being volcanic, I knew that you would certainly have many, many quakes. I did not know about your emergency preparations. But I did hear that the Icelandic team was the FIRST to arrive in Haiti to help. I saw some of them on video today. You are rightly proud of them, as we are of all our people going to help. Time is running out and many, many more teams are needed, not to mention hydraulic and heavy equipment.
As an aside, I read a poll today that 58% of Americans were not donating. That made me ashamed. It is too bad people in this country forget that in such a disaster we are all equal and all may need help at such a time. The economy is poor here, but there is no reason why each of us cannot help in some small way.
Again, thank you to your countrymen for the expenditure of men, women, resources, money and courage!

Hodie, I think the donations will keep coming. So will the scammers, so people should beware. And what happened with Katrina, there were donated funds that had to returned because they were designated for the rescue and relief only, but there was an eventual end to that phase of the devastation.
