I have seen this dog work a Schutzhund trial in person. Good dog.

Stuka-
  • My Favorite Male-to-Watch at the '09 AWDF Championship, (I breed my females to actual dogs, not photos of dogs on the podium... I'm just funny that way   ;-)
  • Way Cool, Total Cutie, I-Think-Its-Love-At-First-Sight Dog to Hang Out and Have a Beer With (even if I DID have to supply my own beer)
  • Banger Extraordinaire, [Insert that full-mouth, hard, HARD hitting Wh-h-o-p-P! noise us old-timers get off on, and the huge applause from stands that inevitibly  follows the aforementioned behavior, HERE.]
and... oh yeah... his human is not only an excellent trainer, but a damned nice guy.

If your dog wasn't so nice you would owe me a beer, Nate, but he is.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

I've seen this dog in trial and also had the pleasure of working him myself.  I love the dog personally and he has been known to throw some nice puppies as well.

A former K9 handler who has also been around military working dogs extensively, I can speak first hand to the power and drive this dog brings. Extremely solid nerves, intense speed, intensity to the max, really full and hard grip power. He's really cool to be around, safe and clear headed. But when he is working there is no doubt he wants to dominate the decoy and calling it quits aint an option. Big fight. I've seen several sons from him that were super. Don't see them like that much these days.

I have a Stuka Cheyenne female that is about 1 1/2 years old.  She is very social to people and is not dog aggressive.  She often plays kiss face with my other dogs through the kennel fence and romps with them in the yard.  I could not be happier with her and how she has developed in Schutzhund.

She is fast.  I don't believe that many of the post have mentioned how fast Stuka is and my female has inherited this trait as well.  She has extreme ball drive, does a nice drive focusing on the track and is progressing rapidly through the protection phase.  One of the helpers in the Club mentioned how much fun it is to work a dog like my female.  Schutzhund is a lot easier when you have a dog that comes equipped with the level of drive that she has.

As a fellow club member with Nate, I have had the opportunity to watch and work Stuka. I have also been able to see several of his offspring.   Stuka is very powerful and intense, yet I have seen him in a large crowd with children petting him immediately after doing a protection demonstration.

I also spent two weeks with Nate in germany prior to the BSP's.  As we travelled to different training clubs, I was amazed at how many of the Germans expressed interest in and knowledge of Stuka.  Many of them stated that it is becoming more and more difficult for them to find a dog like Stuka there.    Go figure!

I have personally seen several of his offspring, both M and F, that have shown the "IT" I'm looking for in a GSD.

As a fellow OG Indy club member, I have had the pleasure of watching Stuka develop into the dog he is today. He is a serious dog with a big heart. Like others who have posted have said, he is capable of bringing the fight to the man, then turning around and socializing with little children.

His progeny possess the characteristics of capable working dogs, exhibiting ability not only for Schutzhund, but for any work that you would ask of them. I have firsthand experience with many of his puppies and am amazed at the intensity, focus and loyalty to handler they display at such a young age. I now have a Stuka puppy myself and he is an absolute pleasure, showing the drive and focus that I believe will make him a good sport dog and an even better companion.

Ok folks....I have never worked the dog or seen him that I know of.....is there anything that you don't like about the dog? Not that I'm saying he isn't all that you say he is. Just for reference..since I'll be looking for a stud.

Hey Ron,
He is all that !!! Brawnson on the top and Asko vom Lutter daughter on bottom....As Hova and R Kelley would say...Best of both Worlds!!
