Mickey D -- Weather update for my area has now been changed to 20 inches of Snow !!!   Snow is supposed to start tonight through Monday morning......

Maggie, this is gonna be a whopper.  The frustrating thing about it is my local weather was forecasting rain until a couple of days ago.  That said, I have food, adult beverages  and a wood stove so I'm set.

I have been watching the following thread since last night.  They get waaay over my head with the technical jargon they post, but it's fun to get caught up in meteorological excitement (chuckle):

The thread is now 960+ pages, so my link is toward the end.

Mickey D -- don't forget the Toilet Paper !!!!   My driveway is somewhat steep and then flattens out.   I parked my car down toward the bottom so I won't have to shovel so much snow to get out.....Oh, Lordy, I just remembered -- we shovel ourselves out, and the Snow Plow comes along and then we are back where we started.

we went to white mountain ar a few years ago at spring break and the ticks were just horrible. i counted 19 on my husband and 28 on my aussie. this park is usually all full up, but this time we were the only campers. guess we were the only ones dumb enough to know it was the middle of tic season...........

does anyone know when tick are the worst in south central colorado? we have extra vacation time this year and are planning to camp and want to avoid this mistake agin. (wet mountain valley area).....
