Ilove my girl! First german shepherd and they are surely different than most others! Halo has a strong personality and I am learning by trial and error and  finally got a GOOD CLUB AND GOOD OBEDIENCE INSTRUCTOR! Our biggest hurdle is bite work!  God these dogs are so noble and just oozing with class ! sad that a lot will not tell me any truth full statements or advice cause I won,t take their bull poopy but oh well. So you see not a lot I can contribute to this board except relate my experiences to newbie!  thanks for not holding my no nonsense attitude against my dog!

I do not believe that if you mean the Guys here on the Forum if i am thinking it wrong then sorry
But i for one will tell you the truth at least what i say will be the truth, I have never in my life in any sport told a person wrongly i tell it as it is and thats it it may not always be right but it is as i see it
In my time i have given advice to 1000's of people in the pigeon sport, and it is the same with Dogs if i know i will say it right if i do not know then i will say so but whatever you will get the truth and  nothing to hinder or mess you and your Pup about
that is wrong and i would be very unhappy if it were done to me, and you can take my word as true

I guess negative attention is better then no attention for some, and especially for Raymond.

Vikram, do you also like to rubberneck at car wrecks? LOL There is a similar feel here when we all get to witness the unravelling of Raymond, time after time. Human nature, I guess, because in the end we can all look back and feel better about ourselves, knowing we have the good luck not to be Raymond.

For once, Raymond is talking about GSDs and his plans for Halo, and all you can do is come on the thread and look down on him?  Pretty sad, I must say.  I congratulate him on his goal of a BH and a SchH1 this next year, and wish him the best, as I do all who are going for titles next year.

The main thing is to have fun! I am not an expert when it comes to SCH, I have owned German Shepherds for many years.
Does that make me a newbie in the breed? NOT! Do I care if I get SCH titles or not? NOT! Do I look down on a person because they do not have SCH titles or does that make me better than the next person? NOT! I happen to like AKC Obed. if people want to make fun, so be it!! I am doing something with the dog.

I would not make fun of anyone doing something with their dog! I have learned an seen that this partnership in akc or schutz is remarkable! I may not be able to get a 1 on halo because she seems hesitant to bite! But thats ok cause there is a lot of other things we can do together!Her father is ingodds albert so she has the pedigree it is up to me and trainers to pull it out. As I have always said I am her largest obstacle because she is my first and I need instruction in training! Makes me no matter  even if it takes till the cows come home we are and will have fun. I hate rude behavior in people ! I apologize to you for my behavior! But unless you cut out the cancer the patient will die!

Yes Ray, and remember, if your girl doesn't like bitework, you can still do a 1-2-3 in OB and tracking. Don't force her to do what she may not LIKE...have fun!
