Here is a documentary about these very dogs.

A few Malinois dogs there, but 90% of them are GSDs reigning supreme and kicking ass all over the place.

An Australian documentary on landmine dogs in Afghanistan. Local Afghan people are being trained together with dogs,as a dog/handler teams.

Way cool documentary and it brought a huge smile to my face, reminds me of Popeye The Sailor and Wimpy - "I'll gladly find a land mine today if you play fetch the ball with me tonight..." Good trade for humans.

Of course, the dogs are probably thinking too-- Suckers! They want me tosniffand sit here when I sniff that odor. And only forTHAT he'll play ball with me and give me food and shelter? What a gullible sucker, I can smell that stuff in my sleep!

Well raymond how do you know ? Comman knowledge Hodie beside some are trying to get a home for war vets and dogs her in my community!

You cannot even read. Nowhere do I say I support the destruction of the dogs. And RayRay, I have given more of my time, energy and money to taking care of unwanted GSDs than you will ever know. On the other hand, I would bet you have never even made a donation to ANY dog related welfare group. As for doing it in your face? You do it to yourself and you obviously enjoy it.

I want no one, no person, no child, no farmer and no animal blown up by landmines. Again, it has nothing to do with Obama. Find somewhere else to play and bury your head in the sand.
